— D. Hargreaves, Private Collector, Belfast
"Our parish library of 3,200 volumes was in disarray. Genuine Book Finds catalogued and assessed every title in under six weeks. The condition reports alone saved us thousands in insurance."

What we do, mapped by domain and depth of service.
First editions, signed copies, limited runs, out-of-print titles. We search auction houses, private sellers, and international dealers on your behalf. No finder's fee unless we deliver.
Insurance-grade valuations for private libraries, estates, institutions, and charitable trusts. Each volume assessed for edition, condition, market value, and historical significance.
Full bibliographic cataloguing using recognised standards. Digital or physical output. We handle collections from fifty volumes to five thousand.
Climate guidance, shelving specification, handling protocols, and archival storage recommendations. We work with conservators across the UK and Ireland to address damage or deterioration.
Tell us your interests, budget, and space. We design and source a personal library tailored to your reading life — from contemporary literary fiction to antiquarian science, theology, or travel.
Sensitive handling of inherited collections. We identify valuable items, recommend sale or donation routes, and manage the process end-to-end.
Meaningful book gifts for milestones — birth year editions, signed literary works, bespoke reading sets.
Schools, libraries, reading groups, and cultural organisations. Advisory, sourcing, or cataloguing on contract or project basis.
Detailed written reports on individual volumes or entire shelves. Used for insurance, sale, donation tax relief, or personal records.
We are not a bookshop. We do not hold stock for resale. Every book we source is found specifically for you, and every service we provide is commissioned, not off-the-shelf. This means our interests are aligned with yours from the start.
| No hidden markups | Sourcing fees are agreed before we begin. You see the purchase price and our fee separately. |
| Independent valuations | We never buy from clients we appraise. Our valuations are disinterested and defensible. |
| Documented provenance | Every sourced book comes with a provenance note covering its history, condition, and authentication basis. |
| Confidentiality | Client names, collection details, and valuations are never disclosed without written consent. |
